On Friday, June 14, the 51-year-old took to Instagram to post pictures from an LGBTQ+-themed photoshoot. The actor made four separate posts.
In the first, he wore a cap with a rainbow around the brim and draped a rainbow flag over his shoulder. The screenwriter captioned it, “Happy PRIDE to all my LGBTQ+ peoples.” Additionally, Marlon clarified that he was “straight” and simply showing love to the community. Some commenters left negative statements under his post, including one man, @mossimock, who wrote, “Lmao unfollow.”
A second post showed Wayans sitting on a floor with rainbow-colored balls surrounding him. In the caption, Marlon addressed the judgment social media was dishing out, writing, “Yeah and just for THE HATE MONGERS….I’m posting another.”
“As a father of a child in the LGBTQ+ community I show my support. Zero f**** what people think,” Marlon said.
He also gave those who said they were unfollowing the deuces. Marlon stated, “If I lost you… GOOD. Your hateful a*** never loved me in the first place. How can you love anyone when you’re too busy judging. Some of y’all funny. I’m a troll. I’ll post all day.”
He ended the message with, “HAPPY PRIDE to all my friends, fam, fans and loved ones. I am happy you’re happy… period.”
PEOPLE reported Marlon spoke about his oldest child becoming transgender on ‘The Breakfast Club’ in November 2023. He said, “I have a daughter that transitioned into a son. My daughter Amai is now Kai.”
Wayans talked about processing the change during that time. “My transition as a parent, going from ignorance and denial to complete unconditional love and acceptance,” the ‘Sweet Tooth’ actor said.
