Oscar De La Hoya urges Mike Tyson to KO Jake Paul with signature punch
Mike Tyson and Jake Paul are now just hours away from their controversial heavyweight clash at the AT&T Stadium, Texas.
The pair will headline a stacked card â featuring a womenâs undisputed super lightweight showdown between Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano â live on Netflix.
And yet, several concerns over the health and well being of Mike Tyson, who is nearly two decades removed from his last professional bout, have emerged ahead of their blockbuster event.
But still, the two combatants are scheduled to collide for eight, two-minute rounds if their fight, in contrast to the vast majority of predictions, does in fact go the distance.

By this point, many believed that the once formidable world heavyweight champion no longer possessed the tenacity that saw him rule his division.
However, âIron Mikeâ was enticed by a lucrative offer presented to him by Jake Paul, agreeing to take on the YouTube star back in July.
But then, their originally scheduled contest was postponed after Tyson suffered an ulcer flare-up, forcing him to step away from his training.
And so, the boxing community has largely raised questions about his comeback, with two-time Hall of Fame inductee Oscar De La Hoya making a last-minute contribution to the discussion.
The Golden Boy promoter, like the majority of the boxing world, believes that Paul should not be stepping into the ring with a 58-year-old Tyson.
âJake, youâre a f***ing spectacular marketer my man,â De La Hoya said on X. âAfter only a few years in the sport, you managed to get yourself an enormous payday and youâre fighting Mike f***ing Tyson.
âBut your fighting Tyson at 60 [58] years old. This is serious s***, where you can actually hurt an old man.
âJake, it adds zero credibility to your resume. Iâve been saying this for years: that if you want to be taken seriously in boxing you need to take a different path.
âRegardless, I will be watching, and I do hope Mike catches you with that left upper cut and knocks you the f*** out.â
Will Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson end in a knockout? When Tyson stepped onto the scales at yesterdayâs weigh-in, fans were quick to celebrate his ripped physique.

The shorter rounds, for starters, will give them less of a window to finish their opponent after landing a clean shot.
Furthermore, with the pair fighting in 14 ounce gloves, the added layer of protection will unquestionably limit the damage caused by each blow.
