Packers-Themed Website Applauds Aaron Jones’ Struggles
The purple team has won five straight games despite his woes, but that didn’t stop a Green Bay Packers-themed website, Lombardi Ave, from applauding Jones’ troubles. Cameron Ellis of Lombardi Ave. used Jones’ recent turnovers to claim the Packers made the right decision by cutting ties with the veteran tailback.

“Aaron Jones’ ball security issues are a problem the Packers luckily don’t have to deal with,” Ellis wrote Monday.
Jones has 5 fumbles through 12 games, already tying his career high of 5 with the Packers in 2022.
“And it gets worse: of Jones’ five fumbles this season, four of them have come in the last three games. Minnesota’s somehow managed to win all three of those games (sigh), but still — as they say, ball security is job security, and it’s maybe not a coincidence that Jones had his lowest snap count since Week 5 in the Vikings’ win over Arizona on Sunday,” Ellis added.

The Vikings have a 10-2 record, whereas Green Bay is one game behind in the NFC North at 9-3. In fact, the only win separating the rivals is Minnesota’s Week 4 triumph at Lambeau Field.
Ellis concluded, “So sentimentality aside (it is the NFL after all), the Packers are probably more than happy to watch Jones finish his career as the Vikings’ RB2 while Jacobs has his best season since he was a First Team All-Pro back in 2022.”

Jones said personally about the fumble malady after Sunday’s win over the Arizona Cardinals when he fumbled twice in the 1st Quarter: “Just gotta go back and look at the film. I can’t make any excuses. That’s not me. I gotta be better. I talked with RBs coach Curtis Modkins, he said ‘We’ll figure out what’s going on, we’ll correct it.’ It’s even more frustrating because it’s not me, and it’s happened more than I like recently. But I’ll get that fixed.”

Jones’ role was minimized after the fumbles in Week 13, and the Vikings, on the whole, could not establish the ground game. They finished with 68 rushing yards, the second-fewest of the season while beating the Cardinals 23-22.
The veteran runner is on pace for 1,574 yards from scrimmage this season and 10 touchdowns. He and the Vikings will host the Packers in Week 17 at U.S. Bank Stadium.
