Parker revved up to see who will be ‘the man’ in Fury v Usyk clash
Joseph Parker believes you cannot “get any biggerā than the undisputed fight between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk.
Fury is the WBC champion and Usyk holds the IBF, WBA and WBO belts, and the two fight on Saturday night live on TNT Sports Box Office.
The winner will be the first undisputed heavyweight champion of the four-belt era, and Parker cannot wait to watch the fight go down in Riyadh.
Speaking on TNT Sports, former WBO title holder Parker said: āIām buzzing to be here, really buzzing. I like Riyadh.
āI donāt think you can get any bigger than this. 25 years we haven’t had an undisputed, unified champion of the world.
“[Fury] is a great boxer. He knows what he wants, he knows what heās going to do in the ring and he executes it.ā
He added: āWhoever wins the fight is the man.ā
He commented: āTyson is unpredictable, you never know what youāre gonna get. You never know what heās going to say. You never know what heās going to do. From what I can see, heās quietly confident. When youāve done the work, you donāt need to talk much.
āIāve been texting him back and forth. I feel like heās a lot more confident coming into this fight.ā
Parker believes that Fury, who stands six inches taller than Usyk, needs to use his size advantage.
āI feel like the advantage for Tyson is the size and reach, and I feel like he has to use that advantage: be the big man. I know heās lost a lot of weight but heās still the big man,ā he said.
“Usyk though is crafty, phenomenal. Angles, everything. Heās just a great boxer. He knows what he wants, he knows what heās going to do in the ring and he executes it.ā

Fury and Usyk will meet in Riyadh on Saturday, May 18.
The live coverage of the event will start at 14:30 UK time on TNT Sports Box Office with a stacked undercard ahead of the headline fight.
The ring walk for Fury v Usyk is expected to be around 23:00 UK time.
