Path Of Exile 2’s ‘Early Access’ Delayed For Xbox Series X|S
Game director: “Unfortunately, I have some really bad news”
At Gamescom Opening Night Live this year, Grinding Gear Games lifted the lid on an “early access” period for its anticipated action RPG Path of Exile 2.
While many fans were looking forward to this going live on 15th November 2024, there have been some disruptions along the way, and the team will now be delaying this early access period on Xbox and all other platforms until 6th December 2024.
It’s not that big of a delay, but if you have been eager to get your hands on it, you will have to wait a little bit longer now.
The game’s director Jonathan Rogers admits it’s “really bad news” and apologises if it’s messed around with player plans. The reasoning behind the decision is a bunch of server-side infrastructure work that has taken the New-Zealand based team a lot longer than expected.
