The longtime Seattle Seahawk and former Raider crashed Carroll’s press conference with a loud and emphatic “RAIDERS!” that surprised the whole room.
Carroll let out an enormous smile.
“There you go, there you go,” Carroll said.

Lynch played for Carroll in Seattle for almost seven seasons, going to two Super Bowls together, and winning one.
Lynch also played two seasons for the Raiders, when they were still in Oakland, Lynch’s hometown.
The former running back looked to be fired up that his former coach is now the man in charge in Las Vegas.
The Raiders made NFL history when they hired Carroll, making him the oldest head coach of all-time at the ripe age of 73.
Tom Brady, who owns a minority stake of the silver and black franchise, was reported to be running point in their head coaching search.

So Davis and Brady ‘settled’ on Carroll.
Setting on one of the most successful coaches of the century isn’t a bad consolation prize by any stretch of the imagination.
And while Carroll is up there in age, he seemed as energetic as ever in his presser, bringing his usual competitive spirit with him.
“It all starts with competition,” Carroll said.
“You’re either competing or you’re not.”
“If there’s one thing I want them to understand,” he added, “it’s that to be a great team, you have to be a great teammate.”
There’s no doubt that Carroll knows how to win, and he’s hoping to bring his winning ways to a franchise that hasn’t won a playoff game since 2002.
The roster has many holes and many questions that need to be answered, starting at the quarterback position.
When asked if Brady would also be involved in the franchise’s quarterback search, Carroll didn’t specify, but did say he has been involved in some capacity.
“He has been integrally involved,” Carroll said.
“He’s been an exciting part of it.

“This is his opportunity to put his stamp on a franchise. He’s been involved and will continue to be involved.”
It’s a new day for Raider Nation.
