Peyton Manning’s Omaha Productions and ESPN have agreed to a multi-platform media rights extension into 2034.
ESPN NFL Communications lead Derek Volner relayed the news in a Wednesday press release. The deal notably means the continuation of Monday Night Football with Peyton and Eli, better known as the ManningCast.
It also means that original content such as Peyton’s Places and Eli’s Places will be sticking around for the future.
The ManningCast, which is an alternate telecast of Monday Night Football, has aired on ESPN2 since the show’s inception in 2021. It’s proven to be a popular show, and it notably won Sports Emmy for Outstanding Live Series in 2022.
A host of athletes, celebrities and other public figures have appeared on the program, which aired 10 times last season.
ESPN and Disney have NFL rights through the 2032 season, another reason why the Manningcast isn’t going anywhere. The network has the rights to 25 games per season, mainly MNF but also a pair of playoff contests as well.
Omaha Productions was founded in 2020 and gets its name after Peyton Manning’s famous audible call of “Omaha,” named of course after the Nebraska city.
