It was all the way back in mid-2023 that the online co-op horror game Phasmophobia was first announced for Xbox, and although it’s suffered numerous delays since then, we’ve finally now got a concrete release date for Series X and S!
Yes, as announced at the Xbox Partner Preview showcase today, Phasmophobia will release on October 29, 2024 for Xbox, arriving in early access form at a price of £16.75 / $19.99. We’re hoping to bring you a review soon as well.
For those who haven’t come across it, Phasmophobia has been a smash hit on PC since its initial launch back in 2020, racking up well over 500,000 ratings on Steam which have led to an “Overwhelmingly Positive” average.
We’ll throw some more details about it down below, and you can watch the new Xbox trailer up above.
“Phasmophobia is a 4-player, online co-op, psychological horror game. You and your team of paranormal investigators will enter haunted locations filled with paranormal activity and try to gather as much evidence as you can. Use your ghost-hunting equipment to find and record evidence to sell on to a ghost removal team.”
“Dive in head first, get your hands dirty searching for evidence while fighting for your life. If you’re not feeling up to the task, play it safe and support your team from the truck by monitoring the investigation with CCTV and motion sensors.”
