Patrick Mahomes has added Wimbledon to the list of sporting events he has attended so far in 2024.

The Kansas City Chiefs star was with his wife, Brittany, in the stands at Centre Court for the third-round match between Carlos Alcaraz and Frances Tiafoe on Friday.

In addition to the Alcaraz-Tiafoe showdown, other matches scheduled for Centre Court on Friday include Emma Raducanu vs. Maria Sakkari and Jannik Sinner vs. Miomir Kecmanović.

Since the end of the 2023 NFL season, Mahomes has made been a staple in the stands at several major sporting events. He greeted Lionel Messi prior to an MLS game between Inter Miami and Sporting KC at Arrowhead Stadium on April 13.

That one didn’t require much effort on Mahomes’ part—he plays home games at Arrowhead Stadium and owns a minority stake in Sporting KC.

The three-time Super Bowl champion, who was born and raised in Texas, followed the Dallas Mavericks around during their run to the NBA Finals. He even narrated a hype video for the Mavs prior to Game 1 against the Boston Celtics.

Mahomes recently said on The Rob Riggle Podcast (h/t Pete Grathoff of the Kansas City Star) his family had a trip to Europe planned a few years ago, but the COVID-19 pandemic forced them to change their plans until they were finally able to go this summer.

“We’re going to spend about 3 1/2 weeks over there. So I’ve had to knock out commercials all up until this point, so I’m getting them all done right before the end of a minicamp and kind of getting a free three weeks to go over to Europe. We’re gonna bounce around, I’m gonna go to Wimbledon. We’re going to the British Grand Prix.

“And so it’s gonna be really cool to experience some of those things and get to see a whole other side of the world in a sense. That trip was planned right before COVID and then I had back-to-back kids, so I haven’t got to get back over there. And now’s the time to go.”

Mahomes has to finish up all of his trips soon because the NFL season is getting ready to start back up again. The Chiefs will open training camp for rookies on July 16, followed by veterans on July 20.
