Photos: PGA Tour, Ryder Cup stars descend upon Wimbledon before The Open
Monday at Wimbledon saw thrilling Round of 16 matches, none more entertaining than the five-set battle between American Taylor Fritz and German Alexander Zverev.
Tommy Paul also won his match earlier in the day, thus sending two Americans to the Wimbledon Quarterfinals for the first time since 2000, per ESPN. Later in the day, Novak Djokovic battled against Holger Rune of Denmark. Their match is still in progress.
Only a lucky few got to witness these terrific matches in person, but part of that fortunate bunch included numerous PGA Tour and Ryder Cup stars.

The other players in London on Monday will not tee it up for this week’s Genesis Scottish Open, a co-sanctioned event between the PGA Tour and the DP World Tour. Fleetwood, Lowry, and Fitzpatrick will instead take a week off before next week’s Open Championship at Royal Troon. Donald did not qualify for this year’s Open.
