Photos: Second edition of Kwahu Business Forum held

The second edition of the Kwahu Business Forum has successfully taken place at the Mpraeso Social Centre in the Kwahu South District of the Eastern Region.

Held under the theme “The Future of Business: The Role of the Financial Sector,” the forum served as a strategic platform to ignite entrepreneurial growth and strengthen the capacity of Ghana’s small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

An initiative championed by President John Dramani Mahama, the Kwahu Business Forum forms a core part of a broader, non-partisan national development agenda aimed at expanding private sector capacity, particularly within agro-processing and manufacturing.

The initiative aligns with the government’s vision of building a more resilient and inclusive economy through SME empowerment.

The forum brought together a diverse group of stakeholders, including business owners, industrialists, investors, start-ups, and key players in the financial industry. One of the highlights of the event was the presence of the Minority Leader in Parliament, Alexander Afenyo-Markin, who added a valuable bipartisan perspective to the discussions.

This year’s event builds on the momentum of the maiden edition, which was held in 2024 during the Easter festivities in Mpraeso.
