Pittman’s Pocket: Rising Stars: Freshmen Making Their Mark in Key HBCU Matchups
There’s something special about seeing freshmen step up and make a difference on the field, especially when they’re helping lead their teams against tough competition.
Despite FAMU’s defeat, freshman Levontai Summersett put on a strong performance, showing his potential with 9 carries for 87 yards, making it tough for the Panthers to contain the dynamic young player.
On the other side, Prairie View’s freshman standout, former 3-star recruit Chase Bingmon, made waves against FAMU’s experienced defense. Bingmon led his team in rushing with 7 carries for 68 yards, proving that this talented player from Terrell, Texas, can compete with the best.
