Prayers Up! T-Boz’s Severe Medical Diagnosis Revealed Amid Canceled TLC Performances

TLC fans attending the New York State Fair on Friday (August 23) didn’t get their expected show from T-Boz and Chilli. The artists canceled their performance after Boz, real name Tionne Watkins, received a severe medical diagnosis.

A press release stated that T-Boz needed to undergo immediate medical treatment for a stomach blockage. Unfortunately, that meant she was unable to take the stage with Chilli at Suburban Park in Syracuse. Also, the group will not be performing at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut.

Here’s Everything We Know About T-Boz & Her Blockage
According to the press release, TLC’s two canceled shows come after they had an “electrifying” performance in Toledo, Ohio, on Thursday (August 23). The artists were reportedly excited about performing at the state fair, but after arriving there, T-Boz began experiencing “sudden and severe nausea, vomiting, and intense abdominal cramps.” A doctor “immediately” saw Watkins and ultimately diagnosed the abdominal blockage. On Friday, T-Boz was still receiving medical treatment at a hospital. However, she was expected to be released on Saturday (August 24).

“The doctor verified that this was not food poisoning but an abdominal blockage,” the statement said, clarifying an announcement at the state fair claiming T-Boz had food poisoning, per WGRZ.

“Tionne deeply regrets having to cancel these shows and extends her sincere apologies to all her fans and the event promoters. The decision to cancel was made under the advisement of her physician, who required her to stay in the hospital overnight to undergo a CT scan to assess the severity of her condition.”

Additionally, the statement assured the TLC fans that they plan to reschedule the canceled shows. Since Friday, Tionne Watkins has been active on her Instagram Stories, reposting the press release and other user-gnerated content. However, she didn’t elaborate on what the release shared.
