Premier League Golden Boot winner confirmed
Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has won the 2023/24 Premier League Golden Boot.
The Norwegian striker retains his crown after netting 27 goals in 31 games, which is actually a drop-off from the outrageous form he displayed last season when he found the back of the net 36 times from just 35 outings.
Despite dropping down from ungodly to simply superhuman goalscoring levels, Haaland still managed to finish five clear of closest competition Cole Palmer, whose debut year with Chelsea ended with a haul of 22 goals.
“It’s not bad,” the ever-expressive Haaland said of his latest individual honour after the game. “There’s not much to say, it’s better to just play football and don’t speak too much. Let other people do the speaking and that’s better.
“[The Premier League has] been harder than I expected. Every game, the way every game is not like a final but it’s not far away. You come away somewhere or even at home you can’t relax. Every game is so intense and tough.”

Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak sealed the bronze medal with 21 striker, with those three players the sole representatives of the 20+ club this season.
Ollie Watkins of Aston Villa ended his sensational individual campaign with 19 goals but finished as the Premier League’s top creator with a stunning haul of 13 assists to go alongside his goal-scoring exploits.
Also on 19 were Haaland’s City teammate Phil Foden, who netted twice on the final day to help secure the Premier League title, and Bournemouth’s Dominic Solanke.
