Nottingham Forest vs Crystal Palace, 20:00 – live on talkSPORTFULL-TIME! Tottenham 4-1 West HamThe perfect recovery from Spurs, who thump four goals past their London rivals.
The Hammers started the game brightly and showed flashes of quality, but the floodgates opened in the second-half as they were blitzed by Ange Postecoglou’s men.
Heung-min Son was the star man with two goals, but there was some superb performances elsewhere from Kulusevski and Udogie.
It’s the response Big Ange wanted after their collapse against Brighton last time out, and boy did he get it.
A bad day for West Ham, who will now be without Kudus for next weekend’s clash against Manchester United after he saw red – quite literally.
Son was the star for Tottenham as he marked his return from injury with two goalsCredit: Getty
Kudus’ moment of madness capped off a disastrous outing for West HamCredit: GettyRED CARD! Mohammed KudusWell, well, well – he wasn’t a lucky man after all.
The referee has been told to look back at the incident on the monitor, he’s noticed the two shoves from the West Ham goalscorer and sent him off.
It all happened after Kudus appeared to kick Van de Van as they tussled for the ball – with the Spurs man giving him a shove in the bum back.
Kudus then lost his head, pushing the Dutchman in the face, shoving Richarlison to the ground – with both hitting the deck – before then shoving Sarr and also grabbing Johnson by the throat.
Five players were carded in the aftermath, with Kudus’ yellow being upgraded to a red due to his rampage.
West Ham down to ten men. It’s been a bad day at the office… not that the away fans will know – most of them have left.
ALL KICKING OFFAn exchange between Van de Ven and Kudus has seen players from both teams pile in.
And Richarlison, only just on the pitch, has ended up on the floor as well.
Kudus is very lucky to stay on the pitch, actually – he’s pushed two players directly in the face and only got a yellow card.
Credit: TNT SPORTSTottenham sub – Richarlison ON, Solanke OFFRicharlison gets a heartwarming reception from the Spurs faithful as he makes his first appearance since coming back from injury.
The Brazilian replaces Solanke, who’s had a quiet game. While he’s linked up well with his teammates at times, he hasn’t been any sort of goal threat.
And Stuart Pearce wants more from the big man up top for Spurs.
“It does concern me me slightly,” said the England legend.
“He works hard for the team, he has played his part, which I like, but I can’t remember him having a clear goalscoring chance.
“Iād like to see him have more efforts around the goal, certainly, as a centre-forward.”
Especially one that cost Ā£65million.
His heat map from the game shows Solanke’s lack of impact around the box, and that he played most of the match in midfield.
It’s the same frustration fans had with Harry Kane in the latter years of his time at Tottenham.
GOAL! Tottenham 4-1 West Ham – Heung-min Son”Football is back, Son is back and Tottenham are blowing away the cobwebs!”
Couldn’t have put it better myself, Mr Matterface.
It’s another counter-attack goal, with Son again baffling the Hammers defence with lovely footwork.
The skipper beats his man one-on-one with a couple of stepovers and thumps a low shot past Areola.
Son then has a chance to score his hat-trick goal immediately after the re-start as West Ham lose the ball again, but he hits the post!
Credit: GettyGOAL! Tottenham 3-1 West Ham – Heung-min SonWell, this one was a gift, but it wasn’t short of graft from Spurs.
West Ham sloppy in possession and the hosts break. Kulusevski puts Son through on goal and he scuffs his shot.
AreolaĀ again gets something on it, but the ball goes through the goalkeeper and dribbles into the net.
Spurs have a two-goal lead – let’s see if they can hold onto this one…
GOAL! Tottenham 2-1 West Ham – Yves BissoumaThe hosts are in front and it’s a lovely goal – ‘exquisite’, according to Stuart Pearce and Sam Matterface.
Son stands on the left wing and sends a quality outside-of-the-boot pass into Udogie.
The defender performs a lovely turn in the box, looks up and feed Bissouma, who slots home.
Kul and the gangIt’s been a sweaty first 45 minutes for the home crowd in north London, but there is one man they can look to for magic – as he showed with the equaliser.
“Iāve been impressed with Kulusevski,” said Stuart Pearce.
“He has been Tottenhamās best player at the moment, and heās been part of everything again here today.
“Heās the one whoās got them back into this game, when he gets the ball it always looks like something is going to happen.Ā
“A very talented player.”
Credit: GettyHALF-TIME! Tottenham 1-1 West HamWell, after a quiet start that one really got going.
A really exciting end to that first-half and it’s a contest West Ham and England legend Stuart Pearce says is wide open.
“It’s a very open game. Impossible to call at this stage.
“Tottenham have had an incredible amount of corners, but have looked no threat whatsoever in any of them!
“But Iām loving this game. I was really looking forward to this one, and it’s not disappointed.”
Speaking of corners… Spurs had TWELVE in the opening 45 minutes and, as Pearce said, haven’t really done anything with them.
“ALMOST a goal of the season contender”Pedro Porro, wow.
The Tottenham defender was so close to emulating West Ham legend Paolo Di Canio with a stunning scissor-kick shot, but it’s just over the bar.
What an effort!
Stuart Pearce for talkSPORT: “Weāre looking at a goal of the season if that goes in.
“Ala Di Canio, it’s a jump up scissor-kick – beautiful.
“He’s done well to manufacturer a finish from there, that wouldnāt have been easy, so heās done well.”
Porro was so close to scoring a wondergoalCredit: PLPGOAL! Tottenham 1-1 West Ham – Dejan KulusevskiWhat a mad goal! Kulusevski had to wait before he could celebrate, but not because of VAR.
Spurs break through James Maddison, who shifts the ball out to Kulusevski. The Swede cuts inside and sends a low shot to the near post.
Areola gets a hand on it, but not enough of one, as the ball hits the post, dribbles across the line, hits the opposite post, and then trickles into the net.
So satisfying. Game on!
BIG MISS! Tottenham 0-1 West HamOh dear Brennan Johnson – he won’t want to watch this back.
The Welsh winger has scored in seven straight games for club and country leading into this match, but he’s just wasted a big chance to put Spurs level.
Great work from Udogie on the left wing, the full-back sends in a perfect cross and Johnson is there to meet it.
It seems a certain goal just yards away from goal, but he’s misjudged his header and it’s bounced off his shoulder.
It wasn’t quite a sitter – it was a trickier chance than it looks – but a big missed opportunity.
Johnson (by the right of the goal) missed with an open net at his mercyCredit: PLP
Johnson couldn’t believe he missed from thereCredit: TNT SPORTSTake a BowJarrod Bowen has been the danger man so far here for West Ham, and his numbers certainly do his performances justice.
In fact, with the assist for Kudus’ opener against Spurs, he now has the same amount of direct goal contributions as Phil Foden.
Not bad company.
GOAL! Tottenham 0-1 West Ham – Mohammed KudusIt’s the opener, and it’s a bad one from from a Spurs point of view.
Pretty much identical to the Hammers’ earlier chance – Bowen collects the ball on the right and sends another pass into area.
Again in goes all the way through to Kudus, who mustered a similar shot to his earlier chance, only this time Vicario isn’t there to get it the way.
Not a goal Postecoglou will enjoy seeing his team concede, given the earlier warning they were given by the West Ham duo.
Oh, and to rub it in, Kudus took a seat after scoring in his now-trademark celebration…
Credit: PLPBIG CHANCE! Tottenham 0-0 West HamSon dances in from the left inside the box and was inches away from scoring a beautiful goal.
The South Korean’s footwork left the West Ham defenders dazzled, as he stepped over the jinked his way into the area.
The Spurs captain then took a step inside and looked to curl the ball into the right corner of the net, but it’s narrowly wide, taking a slight deflection on the way.
Good response from the hosts.
BIG SAVE! Tottenham 0-0 West HamVicario with a crucial save to stop Kudus from only about nine yards out.
Great work from Bowen on the right wing, running at the Spurs back-four and then cutting in to send a pass across the box that went unchallenged.
Kudus was there to get on the end of it, but his firmly-hit effort was too central and Vicario was there to palm the ball over the bar.
West Ham looking the more threatening early doors.
KICK-OFF! Tottenham vs West HamWe’re underway at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium!
Which Spurs will we get, the slick attacking outfit from the first-half against Brighton, or the defensively hapless side from the second-half?
We’re about to find out…
God help them if it’s the latter – Ange Postecoglou will not be happy.

TEAM NEWS – Tottenham vs West HamTottenham XI:Ā Vicario, Porro, Romero, Van de Ven, Udogie, Bissouma, Maddison, Kulusevski, Johnson, Solanke, Son.
West Ham XI:Ā Areola, Wan-Bissaka, Todibo, Kilman, Emerson, Rodriguez, Soucek, Paqueta, Kudus, Bowen, Antonio.
West Ham are unchanged after their 4-1 (pardon the pun) hammering of Ipswich last time out.
There are two changes for Spurs from the team that collapsed 3-2 against Brighton before the international break, with Bissouma in for Bentancur in midfield, and Son back in for Werner on the left wing.
Richarlison is also back on the bench after coming back from injury.
I’m not FergieErik ten Hag has admitted this current Manchester United team and club doesn’t have what it takes to match the standards set by Sir Alex Ferguson.
However, the Dutchman again pointed to two trophy wins in the FA Cup and Carabao Cup from his two seasons in charge, and insisted the club will enjoy further and greater success with him as manager.
It comes after the United boss hit out at the media for writing ‘fairytales’ about the supposed pressure he is under in the hotseat, insisting everything is ‘quiet’ behind the scenes at Old Trafford.
Speaking ahead of today’s 3pm clash against Brentford, Ten Hag said: āAt the moment we canāt match the standards he set but still we won trophies.
āRemember, six years before this club didnāt win trophies so we are coming back, we are returning.
āBut it is also obvious that we are not there but it is very important we need all the processes right and that we can construct a team that we can line up the best players to construct the best teams.
āWe as a team have to match the standards to win every game and then you get where you have to be. Because those are the expectations Sir Alex set for the club.
āOne thing for sure ā thereās almost no club in the world where expectations are so high as at Manchester United and that is set from the era of Sir Alex and then the rest of us who come after have to deal with this.
āBut that is nice ā it is a big challenge. Also, it demands the highest standards in every process and weāre not there in every process.ā
Credit: gettyNew directionFormer Manchester United star Raphael Varane has confirmed his next career move after his shock retirement.
Varane departed Old Trafford in the summer at the end of his contract, and went on to join Italian minnows Como FC – managed by Cesc Fabregas – as a free agent.
However, he was forced to hang up his boots after playing just one game due to injury.
He has decided to stay put at the Serie A club, though, with the ex-Real Madrid centre-back made a member of Como’s board.
His role in the club’s hierarchy will be as an adviser on youth development, education, and product innovation.
Reflecting on his new role, Varane said: āBeing a top-level sportsman comes with joy, sacrifice, and the constant drive to push beyond limits. Throughout my career, Iāve been motivated by a desire to improve and strive for excellence.
“Transitioning from the field to the boardroom isnāt the end of my football journey; itās a new beginning that Iām looking forward to. Joining the board of Como allows me to continue contributing to the sport while shaping its future.
āThis new phase of my career feels like a second birth, not an ending.
“Iām not saying goodbye to football. Joining the Como 1907 Development Committee excites me, and I look forward to being part of an ambitious project that resonates with my values.
“Together, we will invest in youth development, expand educational opportunities, and innovate product solutions to bring the clubās vision to life.ā
Credit: GettyHelping handPep Guardiola has revealed he would be willing to advise Man City in their search for his successor when the time comes.
Speculation over the Spaniard’s future is rampant having entered the final year of his contract.
The former Barcelona and Bayern Munich boss says he is yet to make a decision over whether or not he will extend his deal into a tenth season in charge at the Etihad Stadium, where he has collected six Premier League titles in nine years so far.
The prospect of Pep leaving the English top flight would certainly be good news for their rivals, although City would obviously want to keep the train going.
And Guardiola says he’d be happy to help out in finding his replacement – although that didn’t exactly go to plan over the road when Sir Alex Ferguson handpicked fellow Scot David Moyes to succeed him at Manchester United…
“Of course, with the relationship I have, if they ask me I will give my opinion but it is not my job,” said the City boss.
“The decision will be taken by them, not by me. It belongs to the club.
“I would give my opinion as a friend, having shared unbelievable moments together, but it has to be the club. I would say the new sporting director, the moment I’m not here any more, has to choose.”

Credit: GettyFormer Gunner on the moveEx-Arsenal starlet Tyreece John-Jules has completed a permanent move to Crawley Town.
The forward was part of the Gunners setup until just this summer when he moved on following the end of his contract.
While he never made a first team appearance, he was part of the senior set up and was an unused substitute in the 2020 Community Shield at Wembley.
Away from north London, he has enjoyed loan spells with Ipswich Town, Sheffield Wednesday and Derby, where he spent last season.
After penning a one-year deal with the League One side, the 23-year-old will be hoping to reignite his career.
Nuno reacts Nuno Espirito Santo has admitted he is ‘surprised’ by his three-game touchline ban and Ā£55,000 fine given by the FA following an incident against Brighton last month.
The Nottingham Forest boss has been handed the sanction after being shown a red card for his behaviour towards officials.
He held his pre-match press conference ahead of a clash against Crystal Palace, for which he will now not be on the touchline, today.
And he addressed the suspension, saying: “Surprised.
“It’s a big sanction but nothing we can do now the sanction is there not for me to judge it my job is to move forward and make sure we are ready to help the team – that’s most important.
“It’s tough. It’s not easy but like I said it’s important we are ready as coaching staff, we are going to be in permanent contact, there are phones, radio.
“What’s important is preparing the team well and that’s what we are doing making sure the players are prepared well.
“It cannot disturb us, let’s ignore the noise outside and focus, we have an issue to take care of – it’s at home at the City Ground, we want to try and perform better at home in front of our fans and what we want to do on Monday.
“Let’s not focus on the amount of money, let’s focus on the sanction itself, it’s a three-game ban, it’s a big one. I accept it and I’ll do it.”
Espirito Santo continued to speak about Morgan Gibbs-White who has also been banned and fined for his actions after being sent off against Brighton too.
He added: “It’s always not nice when you have a player unavailable in this case Morgan has a ban – not in the right moment, he’s still injured so hopefully the next game he’s available.
“He went out with a lot of pain, he’s still recovering and getting much better day by day but will take some time – we will see how he is but he is not available for Palace.”
