This would happen should the Clarets win, but Nottingham Forest beat Chelsea at home.

Burnley would also be all but down in the event they beat Spurs and Forest draw with the Blues.

This would leave Kompany’s men three points behind the Tricky Trees, needing a huge goal swing on the final day when they face them at Turf Moor.

Burnley need a miracleLutonThe Hatters short stay in the Premier League could end this weekend, but it depends on other results.

If Rob Edwards’ side fail to beat West Ham at the London Stadium, their return to the Championship will be confirmed if Forest beat Chelsea.

A draw against the Hammers and the points shared between Forest and Chelsea would see Luton need to win and a nine-goal swing on the last day.

However, should the Hatters beat the Irons and Forest were to lose, they would be level on points with one game to play.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side must beat Chelsea and then hope Luton don’t win.

What happens in the Burnley game doesn’t matter as long as Forest secure victory.

Where it gets interesting is if Luton and Burnley win and Forest don’t.

But Forest’s Premier League safety would be all but confirmed if all three teams lose because of their much superior goal difference to Luton.
