Feyenoord eased past the threat of Hercales with relative ease as they claimed a 3-0 triumph when the sides faced off at De Kuip on Sunday.

Arne Slot’s men put themselves in the driving seat at half time thanks to strikes from Yankuba Minteh and Santiago Gimenez before Igor Paixao sealed the deal 17 minutes from time.

As a result, De Stadionclub remain second in the Eredivisie table, 10 points behind division leaders PSV Eindhoven with nine matches left to play.

Feyenoord duo Gjivai Zechiel and Calvin Stengs miss out through knee injuries, while Gernot Trauner remains sidelined with a torn muscle.

The visitors will also be without Justin Bijlow and Alireza Jahanbakhsh who are currently nursing shin and hip injuries respectively.

Luuk Brouwers and Ion Nicolaescu are both guaranteed absentees for Heerenveen this weekend, although the latter is closing in on a return to action.
