PTO reveal San Francisco T100 wildcards as notable name misses out on spot in California

The PTO have announced their wildcard picks for the San Francisco T100, the third stop of the T100 Triathlon World Tour, which takes place next month in California.

Following on from the first two fixtures of the season in Miami and Singapore, San Francisco will mark the second race of three Stateside.

With the contracted races already announced, the four additional wildcards will hope to follow in the footsteps of former wildcard Youri Keulen, who recently secured a permanent contract.

Unfortunately, Real Tri Squad teammate Marc Dubrick, who won the Escape from Alcatraz triathlon last year in SF, misses out, but will no doubt be cheering his fellow squad member on race day.

Kiwi Kyle Smith gets another wildcard call up after racing last month in Singapore, where he finished in fifth, just ahead of German Mika Noodt, who also gets the nod for San Francisco.

Finally, rounding out the quartet of wildcards, Menno Koolhaas from the Netherlands returns to a T100 start line after a strong showing in Miami earlier this season, where the PTO World #11 secured sixth.
