Quinta Brunson Files for Divorce From Kevin Anik, Husband of Three Years
Quinta Brunson has filed for divorce from her husband of three years, Kevin Anik.
In court documents obtained by The Hollywood Reporter, the Abbott Elementary star and creator filed on Wednesday in Los Angeles Superior Court, citing âirreconcilable differences.â Their date of separation was listed as âTBD.â
The document also stated that the couple âentered into a postnuptial agreement which governs the disposition of their property.â Brunson requested that âall property be either awarded to or divided between the parties pursuant to the terms of said postnuptial agreementâ and that each party be responsible for their own attorneyâs fees.
THR reached out to Brunsonâs rep for comment.
Brunson and Anik tied the know in October 2021 after dating for several years. The pair kept their relationship extremely private, with Brunson only occasionally mentioning her husband, such as when she thanked him after winning her Emmy Awards.
âIn case I am not back up here again, I have to thank my mom, my dad, my brothers and sisters, my cousins ⊠my wonderful husband because heâs the most supportive man Iâve ever known and my incredible cast and crew for helping me to make this show and make the pilot,â she said during her 2022 acceptance speech for outstanding writing for a comedy series for Abbott Elementary.
Brunson later won the Emmy for outstanding lead actress in a comedy series for her role as Janine Teagues on the hit sitcom during the 2023 ceremony.
Abbott Elementary is currently airing its fourth season, with new episodes dropping on Wednesdays on ABC. The show has also been renewed for season five.
