Rams defensive superstar named mid-season All-Rookie team selection
The Los Angeles Rams began their season losing four of their first five games. However, they have rebounded and won their last two games and are within a half game of the NFC West lead.Â
The Rams’ defense hasn’t been a bright spot thus far, ranking 25th in EPA per play and 24th in success rate. Despite their poor performance as a unit, one player has stood out amongst the rest. Rookie Jared Verse is having a tremendous rookie season, totaling 17 tackles, 2.5 sacks, and a forced fumble. Of Verse’s 17 tackles, seven have been for loss, and he also has 12 hits on the quarterback.Â
Because of his play, Verse has earned a spot on the PFF All-Rookie team. The other members of the defense are as follows:
