Random: Some Black Ops 6 Fans Are Already Over The Game’s ‘Obnoxious’ DLC Skins
“Been loving Black Ops 6 so far but…”

Since the Fortnite boom, more and more online shooters have introduced cosmetic microtransactions. Even the war-themed title Call of Duty has taken inspiration from this over the years, and although the series has already added all sorts of wacky cosmetics in past iterations, the latest skins in Black Ops 6 are definitely up there.
Following the arrival of a bunch of themed skins recently, it seems the Black Ops 6 community has started questioning why they exist – with players asking the game’s developers to tone down these skins and instead maybe focus more on the gameplay itself and any existing issues in multiplayer.
One user on the Xbox subreddit called out these skins as “obnoxious” and mentioned how they would even be happy to pay for an option to turn them off completely.
“Please Activision – if you won’t give us an option to manually disable the eyesore I will literally pay you for it. Name your price dawg, I got this game for free (ty Xbox) so I’d gladly pay a decent amount of money to just be able to play a military shooter where it actually looks like I’m engaged in military combat.”
Again, the reaction to these new skins is not an isolated case – with many Call of Duty fans on social media also filing similar requests, while seemingly accepting the fact nothing will likely be done in response to these complaints.
One other point raised is the title is only a month old, and there are apparently other areas that need some work, like the game’s anti-cheat:
Although there is a chunk of the community that aren’t quite as taken with the cosmetics now showing up in Black Ops 6, it doesn’t seem to be impacting the popularity of the latest entry – with Activision revealing earlier this week it’s the biggest launch month ever for a Call of Duty game, with the most overall players, hours played and matches played.
How do you feel about online shooters like Call of Duty adding all sorts of character DLC? Would you like to see it toned down? Let us know your own thoughts in the comments.
