Red Sox end four game losing streak with 5-4 walk-off against Rangers

The Boston Red Sox defeated the Texas Rangers 5-4 in extra innings to snap their four game losing streak. 

Starting pitcher Brayan Bello pitched a great game for the Sox, going six innings, giving up one run, and striking out five. 

A decent amount of the Sox’s offense came off a walk-filled fifth inning,  where the Sox scored two runs from walks alone, and were walked eight times in the game. 

Extra innings is when the game got good. Rangers’ Marcus Semien scored in the top of the 10th off a sac line out, leading the Sox 4-3. Then, Emmanuel Valdez hit a ground-rule double to tie the game. The hit was almost a walk-off homer by a few feet. Finally, the hero of the game was Rob Refsnyder, who hit a single with the bases loaded to end the game, 5-4.  

The Red Sox will face the Rangers again at Fenway starting tomorrow at 7:10pm EST.
