Report: Xbox increases price of developer kits by 33 percent
Newsbrief: Microsoft is reportedly raising the price of Xbox Developer Kits (XDK) 33 percent from $1,500 to $2000.
This news comes from The Verge, which reviewed a letter Xbox sent to developers detailing the increase, which appears to be effective immediately. “The adjustment reflects macroeconomic developments,” the company is said to have written. “We remain committed to providing high-quality tools and support for your development efforts.”
This follows the recent price increases of the Xbox Series X|S (macroeconomic conditions”) and Xbox Game Pass.
