Rev. Michael Peynado grew up in Jamaica W.I. when the Drifters popular hit songs Sand in My Shoes and Under the Boardwalk were at the top of the charts. Instead of being influenced to stay in a tourist culture of sand, sea, and sun, he embarked on a mission to industrial lands. He journeyed only with his mothers mantra: Trust God, unaware of where life would lead and what success would look like.
