Royal Cosy Hills Hotel CEO murder case adjourned to March 13

The Wa District court has adjourned the murder case involving the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Royal Cosy Hills Hotel, Mr Eric Johnson, at Jirapa in the Upper West Region, to March 13, 2024, to enable police conduct further investigation into the matter.
Six of the accused, Dookuuri Fausta, Braimah Kasim, Beyuo Felix, and Michael Klugey as well as Favour Nuobe and Charles Tuozie, who were all employees of the hotel, were remanded in police custody.
The seventh accused, Elyasah Mahama, who was allegedly dismissed as worker of the hotel three days to the murder of the CEO, was arrested in Takoradi.
He was remanded in prison custody by the Wa District Court presided over by Mr Maxwell Maxibrain Titriku, on the plea of his counsel, Mr Clement Eledi.
Mr Johnson was found dead in a pool of blood at his residence inside the hotel at Jirapa, on February 11, 2024.
The Inspector General of Police Dr George Akuffo-Dampare had since deployed a team of investigators to work with the Upper West Regional Police command to unravel the mystery behind the murder of Mr Johnson.
