Rudy Giuliani Hits Rock Bottom for the 967,345th Time
Once upon a time, Rudy Giuliani was regarded as an American hero who had an actual shot at being president of the United States. Then he hitched his wagon to Donald Trump and, well, things began to go less swimmingly from there—and by less swimmingly, we mean his name became a punchline and he now suffers personal and professional humiliations on a near-daily basis.
Most recently, that involved Giuliani being disbarred in Washington, DC over his attempt to help Trump overturn the 2020 election, which followed a similar turn of events in New York. While disbarment for any attorney would be extremely devastating, it’s important to note that Giuliani wasn’t some rank and file lawyer but, back in the day, the Associate Attorney General of the United States and one of the most powerful prosecutors in New York.
Of course, at this point, news of the former NYC mayor losing his law license is the kind of thing most people have come to expect. Other humiliations suffered by Giuliani over the last several years have included but are in no way limited to:
Being criminally charged in Georgia for trying to help Trump steal a second term (he pleaded not guilty)Being criminally charged in Arizona for similarly trying to overturn the election there (he pleaded not guilty)Being sued for defamation by Dominion Inc. and Smartmatic, which represent just two of the many civil suits against himBeing ordered to pay $148 million to the election workers he defamedFiling for bankruptcyBasically being declared a deadbeat by a bankruptcy judgeHaving his radio show canceled for false election claimsAppearing on The Masked SingerAppearing in a scene from Borat Subsequent Moviefilm: Delivery of Prodigious Bribe to American Regime for Make Benefit Once Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan with his hand down his pantsHolding a press conference outside of Four Seasons Total LandscapingHolding a press conference with what appeared to be hair dye dripping down his faceWhat will next week, next month, and next year bring? Probably more of the same!
