The Tamale-based chef who recently attempted the Guinness World Record for the longest solo cooking marathon, Chef Failatu Abdul-Razak has ignited a fiery debate by calling out some of Ghana’s biggest musicians for neglecting the north during her historic feat.
Abdul-Razak, who sizzled and spiced her way through a gruelling 227 hours of non-stop cooking over 10 days, expressed disappointment at the lack of support from top Accra artists like Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, and Samini.
“If something bad had happened in the north, they would have been talking about it, “Not a single musician showed up in the north for this project. Not Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, Samini.” She stated
The potential record-breaking chef, however, offered a shout-out to Kwabena Kwabena for showing solidarity by visiting Tamale and cheering her on during the marathon.
“I can sing their songs, and I have been doing videos for them on social media, so they owe us an apology,” she added
Faila is currently waiting for her record to be confirmed by Guinness World Records
