In a sprint that lasts shorter than a minute, Richardson’s super-cold stare will echo on social media for years.

It quickly went viral on Friday night, as accounts posted better and better videos that showed just how ruthless Richardson was while propelling the United States to another gold medal.

As of Friday night, the United States (111) had 30 more medals than second-place China (81), placing in everything from archery and 3×3 basketball to canoe slalom, rugby sevens and weightlifting.

With Simone Biles leading the way, USA had 33 golds, compared to 32 for China and 18 for third-place Australia.

Track and field has been Team USA’s brightest sport, even with another botched baton exchange by the men in their 4×100 relay.

“I’m not back, I’m better” is the Instagram quote on Richardson’s page, which features an ad proclaiming that the track star came to Paris to “make a statement.”

Richardson unquestionably did that on Friday, creating a picture that contained 1,000 golden words.

“The look said it all,” a fan tweeted.

The look said dominance, supreme confidence and untouchable speed in one backward glance.

Also arrogance — but that’s allowed when you’re dominating the Olympics in Paris in 2024.

It was another gold for Team USA.
