Merab Dvalishvili’s victory against Henry Cejudo extended his victory to a 10-fight winning streak in UFC and this somehow rattled the crown of Sean O’Malley. On the other hand, Umar Nurmagomedov is on an undefeated 16-fight winning streak in his career. Both of these individuals are on the line for the next title contenders. Their rise was immaculately predicted by Joe Rogan and Sean O’Malley when they had a conversation about these individuals.

Witnessing the overwhelming power of Umar Nurmagomedov, Joe Rogan stated that he moved smoothly- “Umar Nurmagomedov has got such a different style too. If you watch his fights, he’s real light on his feet and has great kicks. He’s got that great front kick that he throws smoothly. He’s smooth, man. The combination he threw with that left hook, and dropped him – that was amazing. Yeah, amazing!”

Joe Rogan further reflected upon his win against Raoni Barcelos. Nurmagomedov knocked out Barcelos in the very first round. According to Rogan, no one toyed with Barcelos as much as Nurmagomedov did: “You know, Umar has real potential to be the champion. He really does, man. He’s fu*ing good, dude. And Honey Barcelos is no joke. Yeah, Honey is really good. And for him to take him out like that, nobody’s ever beaten him like that. No”

O’Malley interrupted the podcaster to assert that a match-up between Dvalishvili and Nurmagomedov would work as a wonder for both of them “Merab versus Umar is interesting that would be the big fight to get Uma right to the fu**ing top.” O’Malley made this statement last year but seems like the match between ‘The Machine’ and Nurmagomedov is closer to reality now.

While having a conversation with Russian media outlet Ushatayka, Nurmagomedov stated that he wanted to fight Dvalishvili as soon as possible: “To be honest, I can fight Merab on any level. Wherever he wants, wherever he invites me. I don’t know why Javier [Mendez] sees such a big threat in Merab. I don’t see any threat in him at all.”

He further added “I’m not going to let him wrestle. In stand up, he is not technically equipped. He hits randomly after trying to take down. He has physical coordination. He is well prepared. He has a good level of endurance and he is moving forward. While he wins, while it helps him, I don’t see any threat for myself.”
