Selena Gomez looked so lovely stepping out for a night at celebrity hotspot Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica accompanied by her fiancé Benny Blanco, and we can’t help but notice she’s letting her hair return to its natural wave pattern.

What’s that saying about letting a woman go through her red-hair phase? Or cut her bangs? We all know about the trauma chop. Well, maybe the inverse is true: When a woman is thriving, her hair naturally returns to its healthiest, shiniest state, like a plant when you finally move it into the right amount of sun.

The Only Murders In The Building star opted for a sophisticated all-black ensemble of slacks and a jacket with slip-on sandals and a tasseled bag, minimal makeup, and nude nails, while Blanco went for a ’70s look with loafers, a patterned button-down, and wide-leg pants. There’s something about their couple style that makes more sense the more we see them together, and if we are so lucky as to get a pic or two from their wedding, we just know it’s going to be cool as hell.

During a joint interview earlier this year, Gomez opened up about how much having Blanco’s support has meant to her since their relationship started, revealing, “I was alone for five years before we got together, and I think that really helped me appreciate someone like Ben. He gets so weirded out by me saying this, but genuinely, 10 years ago, I wasn’t in a space in my life where I could have accepted the kind of patience, the kind of unconditional love that he gives me.”

In the same article Blanco mentioned, “We love getting dressed up for a date…. We get dressed up, we go out, get fancy martinis. We love a theme. It’s like, ‘Oh, tonight we’re going to wear a suit and she’s going to wear a nice dress.’ But then also we love, ‘We’re going to wear sweatpants and go see a movie.’” And clearly, do some deep conditioning, because have you seen how moisturized her hair is?
