Sex Worker Suspect in $40K Theft from Las Vegas Casino Visitor

Las Vegas has its share of crimes and while attempts for cheating, scams or robberies are some of the unlawful activities, trick rolling is also a common crime across Sin City. Punishable by law, trick rolling is when an individual is lured into a situation where they can be robbed. Oftentimes this is the case of sex workers luring men into having sex with them and robbing them afterwards.

In one similar case that is yet to be confirmed if it involved trick rolling or not, a sex worker in Las Vegas is facing charges as she is accused of stealing $40,000 from an unnamed individual. As announced by KLAS, a woman identified with the initials M.F. is currently facing charges over an alleged theft dating back to June.

After her recent arrest, the woman was charged with stealing items of value that are more than $25,000 but less than $100,000, a category B felony. As a felony, the crime is punishable by restitution of the allegedly stolen items, between one and 10 years in prison and possibly a fine of up to $10,000.

Still, it’s important to note that charges are merely allegations prior to being proven beyond reasonable doubt in a court of law. The sex worker is scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing early in December.

Per the KLAS report, citing court records, M.F. previously faced charges related to prostitution, trespassing and soliciting. It is unclear whether the previous charges against the woman resulted in a penalty.

The Suspect Was Identified and Detained Under an Arrest Warrant
The incident that resulted in the arrest of the young woman dates back to June 12. At the time, she allegedly met an unnamed man at a Las Vegas Strip casino, had drinks with him and was later invited to his apartment.

The police report did not confirm whether or not the two had sex. However, after the night in question, the man, who likely had too many drinks, woke up the next morning to find a significant sum missing from several different accounts.

According to police, the man had $17,000 in his bank account but after the night, the balance was negative $6,500. To make matters worse, the man uncovered nearly $5,000 missing from a Venmo account, as well as a transaction of $17,500 from one of his cryptocurrency accounts. Another $600 in cash also vanished after the night with the suspected sex worker.

The victim couldn’t recollect much of the evening, but he contacted law enforcement and said he would recognize the woman if he saw her. With the use of CCTV footage, police identified the suspect.

However, when law enforcement contacted the alleged thief over the phone, asking her to come to the Las Vegas Metro Police Department headquarters, she said she wouldn’t come. Not unexpectedly, a warrant was issued for her arrest, and she was detained last month.
