In his most recent show, Josh Mcmanus produced an impressive performance, bagging a stoppage victory over Hadji Ndow Ndow.

However, a clip from the match-up has gone viral, with the fighter landing an elbow to his opponent’s thigh, just above the knee.

While executed with tremendous technique, some believe that the move could cause serious injury, with many taking to social media to voice their opinions.

One fan said: “Absolutely dirty move,” While another said: “Been watching combat sports for a hot min and have never seen anyone do that. I’d call it dirty or at least incredibly dishonorable,” A third added: “Should be illegal,” while a fourth said: “I’ve never understood smashing an opponent’s knee. Permanent career and life-altering injury.”

However, many others were impressed by the elbow, with Harrison himself coming forward to commend the move.

He tweeted: “Clip from our show at the weekend has gone viral …so many snowflakes commenting saying it should be banned.

“It only gave him a dead leg, it’s not like it snapped his knee in half. I basically got my entire knee snapped from a kick so an elbow to the thigh is ok with me.”
