Model Ellie Thumann’s Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue spreads are always scorching hot — she’s been in the coveted magazine the last three years in a row.
But as she gears up to walk the runway in bikinis for Miami Swim Week — May 28-June 4 — the model, 23, took to TikTok to guiltily reveal that her skin just got scorched, too.
“I’m walking in a swim week show on Saturday, and I fully burned; I’m a lobster,” Thumann told the camera in a Thursday, May 29 share. “I’m actually so screwed it’s not even funny, and there’s no one to blame but myself.”

Fans immediately jumped in with DIY remedies ranging from castor oil and tea bags to Aquaphor and natural yoghurt. One suggested hitting the hotel tub for an apple cider vinegar bath. “I swear you’ll be a different person in the morning,” said the fan, who also suggested lathering post-bath in coconut oil and lavender essential oils. Another commented recommended loading up the bath with Earl Grey tea bags instead.
Other fans just wanted to make the young model feel better. “You just committed to the part a little too hard that’s all,” one quipped. Joked another, “The sun is to blame; it’s never your fault.”
