Simone Biles is heading back to the Olympics after earning a spot on the U.S. gymnastics team on Sunday.
Traveling to Paris with her will be her husband, Jonathan Owens, who the Chicago Bears will allow to miss a few days of training camp to be in attendance, Biles said, per USA Today’s Nancy Armour.
This year’s Olympics will be the first Biles has competed in since she married Owens. While it’s unfortunate timing that they will happen during the Bears training camp, the team seems flexible given the magnitude of the event.
Biles qualified for her third Olympics on Sunday after finishing first overall at the gymnastics trials with a score of 117.225. Owens was in attendance for the trials and voiced his support for his wife on social media afterward.

Biles has had a dominant gymnastics career so far and will look to continue her excellence this year. She won four gold medals and two bronze medals at her first Olympics in Rio in 2016 before winning a silver and a bronze at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.
If Biles can have a strong showing in Paris, perhaps it will inspire Owens to have a big season of his own in his first year with the Bears. He’s coming off a season where he recorded 84 tackles, a sack, a forced fumble and three pass deflections.
