Sky has boarded the highly-anticipated next project from Succession showrunner Jesse Armstrong.
The as-yet-untitled HBO movie will air in the Spring. Revealed by Deadline in Jan, the movie revolves around four friends who meet up during the turmoil of an ongoing international financial crisis. It stars Steve Carell, Jason Schwartzman, Cory Michael Smith and Ramy Youssef.
Sky is labelling the movie exclusive and will take rights in its territories. The film is written and directed by Amstrong; executive produced by Armstrong, Frank Rich, Lucy Prebble, Jon Brown, Tony Roche, Will Tracy, Mark Mylod, and Jill Footlick.

Sky also aired Armstrong’s hit series Succession in European territories. The show about a media mogul and his dynasty is one of HBO’s biggest breakouts of the past few years.
Armstrong said: “I’m intrigued to discover whether being around so many brilliant actors and directors on Succession has in any way rubbed off on me.”
