Snl24 | Assault case haunts ex-Pirates star!

FORMER Orlando Pirates and Bafana Bafana player Bibo will make another court appearance on Friday, 6 September.

This follows a brief session in the Randburg Magistrates Court on Friday, 26 July, where the footballer, whose real name is Thandani “Bibo” Ntshumayelo, was present.

The case has been postponed while the state awaits the decision of the DPP on this matter. During the proceedings, the magistrate noted that the docket was present in the court.

The magistrate mentioned that they cannot conclude this matter as it is up to the office of the senior prosecutor to determine the outcome.

Molefi Mtonjana, the footballer’s defence advocate, expressed his desire for a resolution.

“I’ve been informed by my colleague that this matter cannot be resolved today. She mentioned that the postponement was due to a lack of water in the building,” he said.

Mtonjana also inquired whether the case could be dismissed since it has been ongoing for an extended period.
