When Kaizer Chiefs announced their new recruits in July 2023, the name Mduduzi Mdantsane stood out like a sore thumb. For a midfielder, he had been influential for Cape Town City, especially in the goalscoring stakes, where he notched up 21 goals from 109 appearances in all competitions, and also contributed seven assists.
