Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns are not the only clubs who Khanyisa Mayo have turned down.
The two South African football giants have a huge interest in the goal poacher, but so far none of them have succeeded in luring him away from Cape Town City.
Mayo, who is this season’s top scorer in the DStv Premiership, is contracted to to the Citizens until the end of the 2027/28 Season.

Citizens chairman John Comitis has already made it clear to both clubs that the player will not be sold locally as he is worth over R38 million.
“Cape Town City has given Mayo a good offer,” A source tells KickOff.
“Everybody was expecting him to join one of the overseas clubs.Â
“I know very well that there are clubs from abroad that have shown interest in Mayo.
“There is one team from Sweden and another two from the English Championship who wanted to invite him for an assessment.
“That could have been a good step in his football career, and these Scandinavian countries like Sweden would have been a good start.
“But there’s still plenty of time for him to go, he is still got time, he is young.
“He extended with City because he didn’t want to join Sundowns and Chiefs, though I don’t know what might be the reason.”
Mayo is DStv Premiership’s current top scorer with eight league goals that recently took the Citizens to second position on the log table.
