FORMER Orlando Pirates star, Bennett Chenene was one step close to getting closure after the death of his sister, Nomvula.
But when the family got to the Vereeniging Magistrates Court on Tuesday, 11 June for the trial of the man who allegedly killed their daughter, they were told he died in prison three months ago.
Sizwe Buthelezi was expected to stand trial for the alleged murder of Nomvula in December 2022. Her body was found three months later buried in a shallow grave in Buthelezi’s rented shack in Lakeside near Orange Farm, south of Joburg.
