Snl24 | Ex-TV man turns politician!
Independent candidate Sesing Ramotswabodi, well known as JJ Sesing from the Free State, says he has solutions for the failing state of the province.
THE 2024 National and Provincial elections have been deemed as one of the most contested and critical since 1994.
Political parties have come out in full swing to campaign in a bid to win as many votes as possible, and South Africans are spoilt for choice.
Independent candidates are also fighting to be seen and heard among the parties.
One of the independent candidates Sesing Ramotswabodi, well known as JJ Sesing from Free State, said he has solutions for the failing state of the province.
From being in the media industry as a TV producer, Ramotswabodi said government failure in the province has turned him into a public servant.
He said the state of public health, which led to his fatherās death and dry taps, are among the things that motivated him to become a politician.
āI once got a call from a family member whose child needed to be taken to the hospital. By the time I got to the hospital, I found them still waiting to be assisted, other people had been there for days.
āSome of those who were stabbed were given Panado, and that made no sense to me,ā he said.

Ramotswabodi said using his marketing skills, he was able to do research and realised that the Free State should have long been placed under administration.
āAccording to the Auditor-Generalās report, municipalities in the Free State had significant unauthorised expenditure. Municipalities like Masilonyana, Tokologo, Nala, Matjhabeng, Setsoto, Mafube and Kopanong have millions go down the drain with money not accounted for.
āShould I come to power, those are the things I need to fix,ā he vowed.
Speaking about registering, Ramotswabodi said it was not an easy task as he had to raise 1 000 signatures and R10 000.
āI went around asking for signatures, some of the people who gave me their names donāt even stay in the Free State or are not registered to vote. Others gave us wrong names and ID numbers,ā he said.
