ANGELINA Molepo (31) was laid to rest on Wednesday, 29 May. Ā
And mourners expressed how angry they were at the way she died.Ā
Family members alleged she was killed after someone insured her life but didn’t want to divulge details. Ā
“Enough is enough. We want this person arrested. Perpetrators can’t make money out of other people’s blood.”Ā

Angelina left her flat in Brakpan, Ekurhuleni, on 7 May and was later found shot and left for dead in a mielie field in Holfontein, Springs, Ekurhuleni.Ā
She was found by a passer-by who informed the police. She died on her way to the hospital.Ā
Angelina’s body was found at the Springs government mortuary days after her family reported her missing.Ā
Her cousin, Lehlohonolo Mpahani said on 6 May, a day before her death, Angelina told him she and a friend were going somewhere, and she may not come back.Ā
“We don’t know if she saw her death coming,” said Lehlohonolo.Ā
Her aunt, Thelma Masimini said the family wants justice for her niece.Ā

“Recently, we see cases of people killed for insurance policies and individual gains,” Thelma said. Ā

According to Thelma, Angelina leaves a little girl behind.Ā
“I told her to fight for herself and bring her killers to justice,” she said.Ā
Her aunt said they were shocked to find her body riddled with 10 bullets.Ā Ā
“I’m still shocked, but her killers will never get away with this.Ā
“We suspect they were hitmen from KZN because her phone was traced to Durban,” said the aunt.Ā
Spokeswoman for Ekurhuleni Police Captain Nelda Sekgobela said a murder case has been opened, and police are investigating.Ā
