As SuperSport United prepare to take on Orlando Pirates in the MTN8 this weekend, goalkeeper Ricardo Goss has pointed out one area that could be key to their success.
SuperSport went into the market to secure the services of defenders Pogiso Sanoka and Nyiko Mobbie, adding more experience to the backline ahead of the new campaign.

Goss, who is back for another loan spell with the club, is delighted to have more experienced players to play in front of him and is hoping they can stop a Pirates side that has a lot of pace and trickery in attack.
“They are defending champions. It’s going to be a hard one. They do really well in the cups, but we have prepared well. We’ve played a lot of friendly games and we are fit. It’s really going to be a great game and we are looking forward to it,” the Bafana Bafana goalkeeper said to the Siya crew.
“We played them in the last game of last season and it was end to end. We tried to play a closed game, but their speed just opens up the game and makes it a bit uncomfortable. We’ve got experienced defenders now and I think it’s going to be the game of the round.”

Pirates’ matches from their tour of Spain were live streamed, so Goss and his SuperSport teammates have been able to have a look at what Pirates have to offer going into the new season, especially with the signings of Gilberto and Selaelo Rasebotja.
“We’ve watched a few videos and we’ve analysed them a bit. They’ve got a good team, but we’ve also got a good team. It’s really going to be the game of the round.”
