THE family of the late Kaizer Chiefs star Luke Fleurs has finally spoken out.
Theo Fleurs, the father of the late star, told Daily Sun that he was pleased with the progress made by the police.
He said he still couldn’t believe that the suspects were arrested just weeks after his son’s death in a botched hijacking in Florida, west of Joburg on Wednesday, 3 April.
On Wednesday, 10 April police arrested six suspects in Soweto who they believe are behind the murder of the footballer.
“I’m happy with the way things are going. All we want is justice for our son. He didn’t deserve to die this way. And what did they want from him?” he said.

Theo said his son had a promising future in football.
“Luke had a bright future ahead of him. He loved football with everything he had,” he said.
George Fleurs, Luke’s younger brother, told SunTeam he was exhausted by the incident. He said he had no more words as he had lost a good brother.
“I’m so devastated, man. This is hard on us, and I just want to see how it turns out,” he said.
“We haven’t enjoyed the last couple of weeks when we heard the news about Luke. It hurts me. That’s all I can say,” George said.
