Snl24 | McKenzie: Spinning’s not a crime!
Minister of Sports, Arts and Culture Gayton McKenzie wants to turn car spinning into a fully recognised sport.
GAYTON McKenzie wasn’t bluffing when he said he wants car spinning to become a major sport in Mzansi.
The minister of sports, arts and culture dropped everything to join hundreds of fans at the ZCBF spinning spot in Richards Bay, KZN on Saturday, 3 July.
McKenzie was beaming as he arrived at the venue, feeling excited and positive about his dream to elevate the sport, given the talent he witnessed. He even assured fans and spinners that he’d consider constructing large, dedicated grounds for spinning.
“Spinning’s not a crime. I told you I’d make it big. Richards Bay, this is just the beginning. Bigger things are coming your way,” McKenzie said.

He said the city needs to invest in facilities that can host such events.
