Puseletso’s cousin, Itumeleng Motloung (35), said she was worried about her whereabouts when she didn’t return from work on Tuesday, 20 August and her cellphone was off.
She said before Puseletso left for work, she told her she was first going to pass by her friend’s place to bath.
Puseletso Dibe’s naked body was found under the bed in a shack in Bingaview in Ga-Rankuwa.
“My cousin was abused physically and emotionally. Puseletso even opened a protection order in the beginning of August, which angered the friend,” said Itumeleng.
Itumeleng alleged that the friend threatened to kill Puseletso, so she asked her to move into her house for her safety. But on the day Puseletso went missing, the friend came to her and said Puseletso was fetched by an unknown car.
She told Daily Sun: “The friend looked suspicious and tired that morning. I thought he was high. I started to worry when I could not find Puseletso on the phone. I then asked the community to help me search for her. We started looking at the friend’s home and that is where we made a horrific discovery.
“We found her body under the bed with stab wounds on the head and shoulder and her three fingers were badly injured. The skin was stripped off.”
Itumeleng said she fainted in shock when she saw the body.
“I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. I knew this man would one day kill her because of how possessive he was of her. I wish she had listened to me when I told her to stay away from him,” she said.
Itumeleng said that they found a note next to Puseletso’s body written: “RIP Puseletso my love, shap baby.” She said the friend is nowhere to be found.
