Snl24 | R18m PSL Offer Not Good Enough For Tau
Reports in Egypt suggest that an R18m offer from within the DStv Premiership was tabled for Percy Tau, but it has been shot down by Al Ahly as it does not meet the Egyptians’ evaluation of the player.
Cairo24 have reported that Al Ahly have received offers from an unnamed club in the DStv Premiership as well as a Saudi Arabian club not exceeding the value of $1 million (±R18.1m).

This came after Al Ahly’s decision to transfer list the 30-year-old, a decision they have since rescinded.Â
According to the publication, Al Ahly’s Swiss coach Marcel Koller was open to the idea of Tau leaving, given that the club was able to find a suitable replacement for Bafana Bafana’s vice-captain.
But Al Ahly’s failure to bolster their side with sufficient quality has seen the coach go back on his decision to part ways with Tau, with the club’s board backing his decision.
The immediate future suggests that Tau will continue with the Egyptian giants, though indications are that his long-term future may lie away from the club.
