Current Manager Rui Vitória is reportedly expected to be relieved of his duties after the team failed to win a single game at the tournament.

According to KingFut, former Cote d’Ivoire and Saudi Arabia coach Herve Renard is now in talks with the Egyptian Football Association over the heac coach position.

Renard is currently in the women’s game coaching the French national side but has often been linked with a return to the African continent.

The report adds that the 55-year-old is open to the idea of taking charge of the Pharaohs, whose last success at AFCON came 14 years ago.

Renard’s reputation with African football remains impressive, as he became the first coach to win the AFCON with two different countries, having done so with Zambia and Cote d’Ivoire.
