Snl24 | Robbery gone wrong: Victim knows too much
Two suspects were arrested in Eden Park, Ekurhuleni, after a failed robbery attempt.
TWO thugs embarked on a sinister mission to rob an individual in Eden Park, Ekurhuleni, on Sunday, 21 July.
But their plan backfired when their intended victim turned out to be someone they knew.Â
Lieutenant-Colonel Kelebogile Thepa, spokeswoman for Ekurhuleni Metro Police, reported that two 24-year-old suspects were bust for attempted robbery in Eden Park phase 5.Â
The arrest followed a tip-off from the South African Police Service (SAPS) regarding the suspects’ failed attempt on Sunday, 21 July.

“While the suspect tried to rob the victim by pointing a firearm, the victim saw their faces and recognised them. When they saw that the victim knew them, they decided to leave him and ran away,” said Thepa.
The victim immediately reported the incident at Eden Park Police Station.
Despite ongoing investigations, the firearm used in the attempted robbery has not been recovered.
The suspects have been detained at Eden Park cop shop, facing charges of attempted robbery.
