WE are halfway through the year, and have witnessed tragic deaths of several celebrities, be it through car accidents or shootings.
This includes musicians, actors, chefs, media personalities, and sportsmen.
Sangoma Solly Mathebula (Gogo Mahlasela) spoke to Daily Sun and warned that more celebrities are likely to die this year.
“I spoke about this thing of more celebrities dying this year. They’re still going to die. This is nothing compared to what’s going to happen. We’re still going to lose a lot of them,” Gogo Mahlasela said.

He mentioned that traditional healers could offer rituals to help celebs and dispel darkness surrounding them.
“There is still going be a lot of blood. Celebrities are still going to die of car accidents and others will get shot,” he said.
Gogo Mahlasela said ukuthwala wasn’t intended for celebrities but meant for kings and queens for their protection.
Here’s a look at some of the celebrities who died in 2024 so far:
Mpho Sebeng
The Soweto-born actor Mpho Sebeng died after an accident in Potchefstroom on Sunday, 5 May. His family released a statement confirming the news.
Peter “Mashata” Mabuse
DJ and media personality Peter “Mashata” Mabuse was shot and killed in the early hours of Sunday morning, 21 April, in Soshanguve, Tshwane.
Thembekile Letlape
The Pastry Princess, died on Thursday, 30 May. Thembekile’s lifeless body was discovered at alleged killer boyfriend Sibusiso Zitha’s house in Fourways, north of Joburg, by her father, Dr Kgosi Letlape, when he went looking for her.
Luke Fleurs
The 24-year-old Kaizer Chiefs footballer was hijacked and shot dead at a petrol station in Honeydew, Joburg, on 3 April.
Themba Masoka
The owner and founder of Basani Cleaners tragically died on Sunday, 7 April, in a car accident, involving his vehicle and a truck.
Kagiso Ramoshai
The 28-year-old entertainer died on Sunday morning, 14 April, in a car accident outside Polokwane, Limpopo.
Blessing Gama
TV producer Blessing Gama, better known as King Bless, died at age 27. His death was confirmed through a statement on his social media pages.
