Snl24 | Skeem Saam’s Magongwa still in shock
Putla Sehlapelo plays Alfred Magongwa on Skeem Saam.
ONÂ Skeem Saam, Alfred Magongwa’s reeling from the shock of nearly losing his son Mahlatse in a house fire.
The blaze was sparked by a drunken Mahlatse, who fell asleep while cooking chicken. Since Mahlatse’s actually the child of Magongwa’s ex-wife Celia and not his biological son, her family has been taking him to task for being a negligent father.
They fail to recognise that Magongwa chose to raise Mahlatse as his own, a fact for which they should be grateful. The fire was an accident and not Alfred’s fault. He’s an amazing father, who deserves to be praised.Â
Meanwhile, Melita and Mr Kgomo are now officially a couple. However, Mr Kgomo’s ex-wife Ivy’s delving into Melita’s past, searching for any dark secrets. Her investigation reveals Melita may have been involved in the death of a friend and pageant competitor.

In other news, they say money changes people. While some may dispute this, My Brother’s Keeper’s Donga’s behaviour since landing a R13 million tender deal seems to confirm this.
Once a loving, humble, and honest husband, Donga has transformed into a typical “tenderpreneur” and is now cheating on his wife. Imagining himself in a polygamous marriage, he’s straying far from the man who was devastated when his wife temporarily returned to her parents’ home after a disagreement.
Despite still loving his wife and wanting to make her happy, Donga’s aspirations have shifted. He’s now eyeing a mansion that screams “millionaire” in the affluent areas of Sandton, Sandhurst, or Hyde Park – and he’s not willing to compromise.
His mistress is the opposite of his wife: a slay queen, contrasting with his more modest, rural wife. Their marriage’s on the brink, and Donga could soon blow his newfound wealth as he’s spending it like it’s going out of fashion.
Meanwhile, Donga’s dad, Mshengu, is facing his own crisis. His business, Shaba Snax, is crumbling. Despite turning to Donga for aid, he’s been given the cold shoulder – understandably, given Mshengu’s past sabotage of Donga’s tender opportunities.
Now, Mshengu’s experiencing the bitter taste of his own medicine. Even his former daughter-in-law, Fakazile, loves seeing him struggle. She has the equipment that could save Shaba Snax, but Mshengu’s pride has stopped him from asking her for help.
